Situated in the town of Blackburn in West Lothian, this plot of land lies within a residential area and is comprised of vegetation and shrubbery.
The land has remained unused for at least 15 years and has gradually become overgrown.
The land was brought to the attention of the KLTR in April 2024 by a representative acting on behalf of West Lothian Council.
Extensive enquiries were carried out which revealed that the last known owning company had been officially dissolved. As such, the property was classed as “ownerless” and fell to the Crown under Bona Vacantia.
The land was been identified as being suitable for the Ownerless Property Transfer Scheme (OPTS) and applications were invited from suitable bodies.
